Going on a trip and want to save cash on renting a car? If you have crossbars on your vehicle, consider renting a cargo box instead! This thing is big! It's 52lbs and will take two people to lift it on and off of the vehicle but it's easy to adjust and access once it's on. I just took this thing to Lake Tahoe (from Los Angeles) on my Hyundai Tucson and didn't notice a drop in gas mileage. It was more cost effective to drive the 5 of us in my car with the cargo box than to rent a less fuel efficient SUV or minivan.
